A snapshot of my Master's Degree program and an informative action research project centered on the impact of transitions on children.
ACTION RESEARCH PROJECT
As part of a Teacher Leadership graduate degree program through the University of Northern Iowa, Simon Gustafson (ES Music Teacher) and I (5th Grade Classroom Teacher) were interested in taking a closer look at how transitions and our current support systems affect 5th-grade students in the Elementary Division.
Working alongside the ES Counselling staff and ES Administrators, we administered a Google Form survey to a select number of 5th-grade students in order to receive feedback about how well they feel supported by the school as they navigate the transition process
